Over the years, I’ve been honoured to support a number of charitable organizations by donating original artwork to fundraising auctions and special events. It’s a meaningful way to contribute to causes that make a positive difference while sharing my work with new audiences.
For 2025, I donated three pieces to organizations doing important work in their communities:
- Bunny Waving Goodbye
- Proud Horsewoman
- On the Mountain
- Bunny Rabbit Waving Goodbye for the Inside Out Queer Film Festival.
- Proud Horsewoman for Aura Freedom International, an organization dedicated to preventing human trafficking and gender-based violence through education, advocacy, and survivor support.
- On the Mountain for Esther Myers Yoga Studio, now owned by Mary Walton-Ball.
In previous years, I also donated artwork to several other fundraising initiatives:
- Hummingbird 2
- Woodland creature Bird Spirit
- Marguerite Duras
- Baby Loon (2019), Hummingbird 2 (2021), and Woodland Creature Bird Spirit (2022) were donated to the Bird Ball fundraiser, led by Margaret Atwood in support of the Pelee Island Bird Observatory and its bird conservation efforts.
- In 2020, I donated Marguerite Duras to a fundraiser for the Sara Porter Dance Company. The piece is now part of the collection of Timothy Spain.
I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to support these organizations and the important work they do. Art has the power to connect people, inspire conversation, and contribute to causes that strengthen our communities, and I’m always pleased when my work can play a small part in that.
